A research agenda for Mediterranean development policy

A research frame for development and public policy across the Mediterranean that avoids one-shore explanations.

Reading time: 1 min

Why a Mediterranean agenda

Development policy in the Mediterranean cannot be reduced to a list of sector projects. Trade, energy, food, mobility, and conflict are entangled. That requires an agenda that treats the region as one policy space without erasing the differences between its shores.

Useful knowledge is the kind that connects evidence to a decision, not the kind that only describes a crisis.

Workstreams

This study proposes three workstreams: reconstruction and public finance; food and resource systems; and regional evidence governance. Editors and researchers can extend each of them in later publications.
